Feature : Newsletter
If the module is activated on your account, you can access it by clicking on your name on the top right corner and click on Newsletter from the drop down menu.
You'll then see all the newsletters you previously created. To start a new one, just click on "Create a Newsletter". Choose your template, click on "Select" and you'll be redirected to the Newsletter editor!
Note: you can create a template from the gear icon in the template selection screen but we can also create one for you based on your guidelines or an existing template. Don't hesitate to ask your account manager to learn more.
2/ Find the content you want to share
Once you're in the Newsletter editor, you first have to select the content you want to be featured in the Newsletter.
On the left side will be listed all your content published in your different topics.
You can also easily find older pieces of content by using Filter scoops by title and Filter scoops by tags.
Finally, to avoid sharing the same article multiple times, you can select Show only posts that have never been published in a newsletter.
Once you find an article you'd like to include, you just have to drag-and-drop it in your newsletter. You can add as many pieces of content as you want, but keep in mind that readers usually prefer shorter emails!
Scoop.it automatically formats the post after you added it to the newsletter, but you still have the option to edit the text and image. Just click on the piece of content and it will open the editing window:
3/ Customize your newsletter with widgets
Once you populated your newsletter with articles, you also have to option to customize it with some widgets.
You can either add more text, images, CTAs, separators between articles... You can also simply add your own touch with HTML code.
4/ Export
Before exporting your newsletter, you can quickly take a look at its Parameters.
There, you can change its internal Scoop.it name, but also activate or deactivate UTM tracking.
Finally, make sure the option Link to original article is OFF if you want people to be redirected to your own website or ON if you want people to be redirected to the original source of the article.
You're then ready to export!
Now you'll just have to decide how you want to send your newsletter:
- You can connect your MailChimp account if you have one
- You can click on Send to me for the newsletter to be sent to the address attached to your Scoop.it account
- You can click on Download as file or Get HTML code to use the HTML code of the newsletter to send through another tool, such as HubSpot.
