What is a topic page and how can I use as a content hub?

Though integrates with major CMS such as Wordpress, HubSpot or Drupal and provides an API for advanced CMS integrations, we also provide you with our own light content management system so you can publish your curated content on mini sites or content hubs in minutes. We call these topic pages and this article explains how they work. 

1. What's a topic page?

Your topic is the web page that archives the curated content you publish. It is your very own content hub that displays all of your curations in an organized way, with your personal insights and editing, for your audience.

Here’s an example: A topic page consists in: - a home page which displays all your curated content on this topic (by default in chronological order but you can reorder your scoops within that topic page or mark one scoop to be a sticky post at the top); - permalink pages such as this one for each of your topic's individual scoop which highlights one particular scoop in the foreground while showing the rest of the topic's scoops in the brackground enabling your readers to explore your curated content and engage with it easily.

2. How do I create a topic page?

For users:

In, creating a topic will automatically create the corresponding topic page at That's it: nothing more to do!
Note: you can change the URL of your topic later, but make sure you do it before you create any posts, as the posts created on the previous URL of the topic will be dead links after the change. From there, you have the following options:
  • You can change the domain of this page to be your own subdomain (eg: instructions are here.
  • If you'd rather not publish to a page and want to post directly to your social networks, use the Direct Link option when you publish content (you just have to activate it once and it will stay active for your next posts until you deactivate it).

3. What are the benefits of using such a content hub for content curation?

While lets you easily discover and share content to engage your social networks, topic pages provide with many additional benefits as your social posts will now redirect to your topic page's permalinks. Note: you can bypass your topic page when you publish content by using the Direct Link feature. By using it, the link of the social post you'll create when publishing content will not redirect to your topic page but directly to the original article.

Using you will seamlessly publish your curated content to your topic page and to the social channels of your choice in the same click. By doing so:

  • You'll get more engagement from your social media followers as clicking on your links will drive them to your content hub where they can not only click through to the content they came for but also discover all the content you've curated on the same topic. Since your curation contains related pieces, chances are they'll check multiple stories (3 on average per visitor to pages), which will increase the time they spend with your content - Note: you can also point them directly to the original content using the Direct Link feature.
  • More shares and traffic: while the average time a tweet has an impact is in minutes, your curated content is now archived and can be discovered and re-shared in the future. Each post has its own individual web link and can be shared easily to social networks through the built-in sharing buttons.
  • Generate search traffic: your curated content receives targeted traffic from search (on average 40% on topics). This means that people who are interested in your content but not yet your followers will discover you through the content you curate.
  • More conversions: you can add conversion & engagement CTA's (subscribe, contact me, request a demo, book services, etc...).
